We will be hosting a virtual WASC school-site visit for our Mid-Cycle Review.
The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) is an organization providing accreditation of public and private universities, colleges, secondary and elementary schools in California. Accreditation is a voluntary dual-purpose process that schools (1) must be worthy of the trust placed in them to provide high-quality learning and (2) clearly demonstrate continual self-improvement. An accredited school is focused on a mission and goals for students; it is student-oriented and examines its students’ performance continuously; it accepts objective evaluation from a team of outside peer professionals trained by ACS WASC; it maintains a qualified faculty within an effectively organized school; it collaboratively assesses the quality of its educational programs on a regular basis; and it plans for the future.
We will be hosting a team of 5-6 present and former educators, administrators, and superintendents through a virtual school-site visit. Administrators will spend majority of the day meeting with the visiting committee, and several educators or staff members will be asked to join in on these meetings. These educators/staff members will be notified a month in advance of their needed participation. We are incredibly excited to showcase the amazing team of Bloomfield educators, processes, programs, and data-driven practices.
Thank you all for your support and love!
