Mr. Evans was born in Seattle, Washington, where he spent the first 22 years of his life. Then, chasing higher education and music, Mr. Evans moved to Los Angeles, CA to fulfill both of these dreams. He completed his AA degree and graduated with honors from Santa Monica College, transferring directly to Cal State, Los Angeles. Mr. Evans’ love of history and pursuit of a socially just and equitable society drove him to study history, with an upper division theme of “Race, Diversity, and Justice.” In 2015, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History with the teacher preparation option, and was awarded “Most Outstanding Undergraduate Student.” In 2017, Mr. Evans received the “Eugene Fingerhut Award for Outstanding Graduate Student.” Mr. Evans continues to chase knowledge, and this year will be graduating with his Master’s Degree in History from CSULA. Mr. Evans is excited to teach both US History and Sociology, to be a new member of the Bloomfield family, and cannot wait to build strong minds, strong memories, and strong bonds.
