Volunteer Opportunities

Parent Volunteer Hours:

 
Please contact the School office to learn more about parent volunteer hours.  Failure of a parent to meet volunteer hours or to participate in Alliance Bloomfield programs will have NO effect on a student's enrollment, grades, credits, or ability to graduate.

Possible volunteer activities to support the school include:

  • Office support
  • Fundraising activities
  • Field trip assistance and supervision
  • Special events assistance
  • Arrival and dismissal supervision
  • Courtyard supervision
  • Serving nutrition/lunch meals
  • Take-home assignments
  • Assisting with the development and dissemination of the school newsletter
  • Leadership activities such as serving as the parent representative for your child’s advisory class, participation in the parent advisory committee, town hall meetings, school board of directors, or participating in other school committees

 

Possible volunteer activities to support your child academically include:

  • Parent educational workshop participation
  • Participation in special conferences or other training opportunities
  • Helping your child with homework
  • Monitoring your child’s progress
  • Classroom visits
  • Classroom support
  • Tutoring support
  • Serving as a parent mentor
  • Visiting museums
  • Touring colleges/universities
